Haccs' Open Admissions

Haccs' open admissions policy is a good thing. How many people out of high school know exactly what they want to do with their lives? This gives people the opportunity to work for a few years, and think about what they want to do with their lives before they eventually decide to go back to school. I mean it's good to give everyone an option to further their education, and to be able to get a decent career; or to fulfill their dream at a career that they want to do for the rest of their lives.
On the other hand college is not for anyone 100% serious on what they want to do with their lives. They have hidden classes you might have to take if you get stuck in them with this thing they call a placement test, which if you happen to do bad on it you'll have to take some extra classes, and pay more money in the long run. That's how they get you. That’s what they don’t tell you. Classes that really don’t count for anything at all other than to get you ready for some of the harder classes you might have to take to fulfill your major and get your degree; that’s what they don’t tell you. Some don’t even transfer. I like to call those in house shit credits. Anything that has a 0 in-front of it doesn't count. Unless it's required under your major to get the degree you want.
I would advise you to do some research, and know what you want to do before you go or it will cost you in the long run. You can believe me this is my 2nd college and I've seen it with myself and others. It's real discouraging, demoralizing, and it really pisses you off.

Gastric Bypass

Gastric Bypass is when they cut the big part of the stomach off and connect it directly to the small intestine bypassing the main part of the stomach and the large intestines for less food consumption to lose weight; because they are obese. I'm against this like abortion activists are against abortion.
There's no need for it you and only you are responsible for you being fat. All it does is tell you to stop eating and makes you full faster. That’s bull shit. If you want to do this just decrease your food intake and watch what you eat. It’s the same damn thing. It's called laziness getting surgery because you made yourself fat.
Yes, I understand some of you might have an inactive thyroid or an obesity gene. That’s just an excuse. You just have a bigger fight, and will just have to work a little bit harder.
This is just for the people that are obese not fat there's a difference. Fat is like a height of 5'5 200lbs of fat. Obese is more height of 5'5 250-300lbs plus of fat. that’s just uncalled for. There's no reason anyone should be that big. That’s saying when you're born you weigh like 15-20lbs.
Now my final reason is if you're not born that fat whose fault is it you got that big with fat? And how long did it take to get that big? Defiantly not 9 months, which is a full term pregnancy; so you should lose it about the same pace you put it on. About approximately 20lbs a year gives or take. Not just have them melt off by 1. Not eating and 2. Not cutting your stomach off. You did not do that to gain it so why do you need to do that to lose the weight?

Technology Good or Bad

Technology is a good thing. I mean the invention of cars cell phones computers and ECT. Is amazing. Look at all we can do to communicate and commute. Cars instead of horses; you can travel like a million times further and faster than just the use of a few horses. Cell phones they're computers with in themselves. It's amazing how far we have come with some of the simplest inventions; however there is one problem I see as the united states as one. We rely on all these inventions too much.
I mean it's just a way of society, but what would we do without them? I mean you are fd if your car breaks down and you can't get to work. How do you get there when its 10-15 miles away? People go nuts about their cell phones. People are lost without them, and freak out. I had these both happen to me already; who hasn’t had it happen to them? If one these have not happened to you; you must be the luckiest person in the world. I mean I was thinking how and what am I going to do. I bet people back in the day before these inventions did not rely have this problem.
I was worried people were trying to get a hold of me when my cell phone broke for important things, and my car.. How and where was I going to come up with the money to fix these things? These things aren’t cheap. It turned into a nightmare.
Its just we get so used to using all these things we rely on every day to work and eventually go bad one day we are done. In a panic downward spin to hell. Even though we can't control it we are helpless.
